Turkey's indigenous air defense missile system, Sungur, is ready to enter inventory after successful trials, the head of the country's Presidency of Defense Industries said on Wednesday.
Sungur, designed by defense giant Roketsan and its domestic partners, can be launched from a mobile platform with a 360-degree ability, and also has capacity for day and night target detection, diagnosis, identification, and tracking, Ismail Demir tweeted.
The portable missile can be integrated to land, air, and, sea platforms. With its high maneuver capability, high accuracy, titanium warhead, and long-distance sight, Sungur is ahead of its class.
